Whew! 2020 was rough. 2021 is shaping up to be a year of healing and re-connection (and still figuring out that "new normal"). Events at Midian are coming back, just with a lighter schedule in 2021 than you saw in previous years. Bear with us while we get this Land we all love ready. As of May 20, 2020, Midian regretfully announced the cancellation of all events for our 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic. We will miss our community terribly, but we look forward to coming back together when it is safe to do so. Until then, please connect with us on Facebook at our discussion group.

Work Weekends

Midian is opening its gates to the community for a first look at the land as we get some major projects done before our first big event in June, 2014.

Each weekend will include overnight camping and nightly bonfires for those who choose to stay.  Right now camping at Midian is very primitive, so if you are coming out please bring your own water, food, shelter, light, and supplies. We will have port-o-let toilet facilities available on-site. Midian is a short distance from Bedford if you need supplies.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Midian, a new festival and event venue located in Lawrence County, Indiana, is currently in preparations to open their gates for their 2014 festival season.

The grounds of Midian cover 21 acres of primitive woodlands in South-Central Indiana. By the time of the venue's first event, scheduled for early/mid June 2014, Midian will feature hot/cold rinse stations, a performance stage, several temporary pavilions, electricity in the main event areas, a bonfire ring, several acres of shaded campsites, and well-maintained restroom facilities.

Midian's owners intend to implement a staged development plan. Such developments will likely include several permanent indoor and outdoor meeting facilities, a fully operational kitchen, a lending library, permanent restroom facilities, and more.

The gates will open to the public in April 2014, with the first event being held June 12-16, 2014.
